How To Wake Up Your Oatmeal
Ingredients
rolled oats
olive oil, extra-virgin
fried egg
avocado, sliced
salsa roja (warmed)
pepitas, roasted and salted
feta cheese, crumbled
radish, thinly sliced
jalapeño, thinly sliced
cilantro
salt and pepper to taste

Cook oatmeal according to package instructions. (I use the microwave method – placing 1/2 c. oatmeal, 3/4 c. water and a pinch of salt in a microwave-safe bowl and cook on high for 2 1/2 minutes).
Drizzle oatmeal with a small amount of olive oil. Top with a sunny side up fried egg, avocado, salsa roja. Sprinkle with feta. Garnish with radish, jalapeño, and cilantro. Salt and pepper to taste.
Have a spectacular day!
#BowlCrazy #GrainBowls
Rolled oats, aka old-fashioned oats, are whole grains that are steamed then rolled between cylinders to produce a flat flake. These hulled oats are then placed into a roaster where they are toasted then packaged.
Grain bowls consist of whole grains, vegetables, a protein, a flavorful sauce, and a snappy garnish. The food world has gone crazy for healthy grain bowls. The satisfying layers of flavors and textures are perfectly suited for any meal of the day – breakfast (try this sunnyside oatmeal bowl), lunch (try my farro bowl), and dinner (freekeh lamb bowl coming soon).
