Happy Birthday America!

The Julia Child Floribunda Rose
It is no surprise that Julia chose this rose to bear her name; with its delicious, butter-gold color and anise fragrance. This floribunda is very happy in my Southern California garden, or cut for a fabulous centerpiece for a Julia inspired French dinner.

  1. Lori, those are absolutely gorgeous, and I wish I could smell their anise fragrance.

By the way, I adore the Julia haiku. It perfectly captures, I think, how so many of us felt when we heard that she had died.
